VLOG: My Dear Country – Norah Jones

Muita gente quando pensa em Norah Jones pensa nas músicas bonitas que tocam nas novelas e muitas vezes só acompanham a carreira da cantora pelos seus hits e estas “músicas de novela”. Entretanto, a filha de Ravi Shankar é mais que isso, é uma das cantoras de maior sucesso entre crítica e público, além de estas sempre acompanha por excelentes músicos (tanto na gravação de seus álbuns, quanto em suas apresentações ao vivo).

Uma destas apresentações ao vivo foi a feita para BBC 2, ela tocou “My Dear Country”, que faz parte de seu terceiro álbum de estúdio (“Not Too Late”), e encantou com sua crítica voraz ao governo George W. Bush. Os mais desavisados devem estar se perguntando: como alguém encanta na crítica? Resposta: só juntar uma melodia excepcional, uma interpretação doce e acima da média, uma letra que critica de forma inteligente, uma mulher bonita e um piano.
